Northamptonshire Youth Group

What?
Generation Hope Northampton meet once every other month at AHoF (Abington House of Fun) to spend a few hours together. Each meeting will focus on some drug education, life skills (such as self-esteem and friendship) and lots of fun games and snacks!

When?

  • Saturday 20th May 2-4pm
  • Saturday 29th July 2-4pm
  • Saturday 23rd September 2-4pm

Where?
Abington House of Fun (in Abington Park), Northampton, NN3 3HP

Who?
The Generation Hope Northamptonshire group is attended by young teenagers who live in Northamptonshire and are involved with Generation Hope (either through detached work, helping with sessions or attending residential trips).

Each session is overseen by Hope UK Northampton Worker Rachael Duthie and her highly effective team of Hope UK Volunteers who also run sessions and detached drug education in their own local communities.

How?
If you are Generation Hope member already then your parents will only have to fill out this permission form.

If you are not a Generation Hope member then please get your parents to fill out the youth group permission form and the Young Persons Information form.

You can return these forms to Hannah at generationhope@hopeuk.org or bring them with you on the day.

Northampton Market -detached street education

What?
Interactive drug education taken out onto the streets to the members of public.
Challenge a passerby to try out the beer goggles challenge and walk the line or choose which items in the box (such as caffeine, a lighter and tea) are actually drugs.

When?
8th July 9am-6pm.
(You would never be expected to do the full six hours, but if you wanted to go and help out for even half an hour you would be welcomed very much by the adult volunteers who will be there)!

Where?  Northampton Market, Market Square

How?
If you are under 18 and plan on coming alone then we will need parental permission for you to help out at this event: click here for the permission form.

If you have never been involved with Generation Hope you will need your parents to fill out the the permission form and the Young Person’s Information form

If you are under 18 and coming with a parent then no permission form will be needed as your parents can watch over you.

If you are over 18 then no forms are needed.

Please return forms either on person on the day or scan them to Hannah at generationhope@hopeuk.org.

Kettering - detached drug education

What?
Interactive drug education taken out onto the streets to the members of public.

When?

  • Saturday 10th June 9am-4pm. This is part of the KettFest (Kettering’s art, culture, music and community festival) which involves a Teenage Market run solely by teenagers selling and promoting their products.
  • Saturday 12th August 9am-4pm.

(You are not expected to do the full six hours, but if you wanted to go and help out for even half an hour you would be welcomed very much by the adult volunteers who will be there)!

Market Stall, Kettering (map to follow soon)

How?
